  • Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Cranfield Institute of Technology in the United Kingdom in 1991.
  • Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of London in the United Kingdom in 1987.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics from King Saud University in Riyadh in 1985.
  • Executive MBA from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 2008.

Practical Experience:

  • Served as a lecturer at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (a governmental entity operating in the field of education) in Riyadh from 1988 until 1991.
  • Served as the Assistant Supervisor at the Atomic Energy Research Institute (an institute affiliated with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology) in Riyadh from 1993 until 1995.
  • Served as the Head of Science and Technology Department at the Atomic Energy Research Institute in Riyadh from 1995 until 1997.
  • Served as the General Manager of Gulf Union Food Company (operating in the field of food production) from 1997 until 2003.
  • Served as a member of the Riyadh Municipal Council from 2006 until 2012.
  • Served as a board member of the Arab Atomic Energy Agency (a specialized Arab scientific organization working within the Arab League concerning nuclear science and peaceful applications) headquartered in Tunisia from 1992 until 1994.
  • Served as a board member of the Center for Radioisotopes (a center specialized in radioisotopes for Arab countries) headquartered in Cairo from 1991 until 1995.
  • Served as a member of the Facilities Committee at the Second Industrial City (an industrial city affiliated with the Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones) from 2001 until 2003.
  • Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gulf Union Food Company since 2003 to present.
